Hi!

I'm a Senior Infrastructure Analyst for a global logistics company. I'm based in Suffolk but travel all over the UK regularly.

My main responsibilities are that of a Unix Administrator and Oracle DBA on highly available systems (clustering etc.), and I also perform tasks of a Cisco Network Analyst.

My responsibilities also include being familiar with and upgrading hardware architectures for highly available systems, although I've just rebuilt my home PC as well...

I've been exposed to Linux professionally for about 18 months or so and can certainly find my way around thanks to my unix experience. I do however have very knowledgeable colleagues at work where Linux is concerned.

So work aside, I'm a snowboarder, amateur astronomer and have recently setup a website for the bookclub my friends and I started in 2006 (please take a look! - www.drunkenphilosophers.com). I obtained my full motorbike licence this year (2008) and currently ride an SV650S.
